Organic farming

in Gram, near Haderslev in Jutland

Agriculture is the focal point of our vision for Gram Slot. For centuries, Gram Slot has been known for its proud agricultural traditions and for being at the forefront of developments in agriculture. We want to strengthen and further develop that.

Gram and Nybøl Estates with 440 hectares of fertile arable land belong to Gram Slot, and our first step has been to convert both them and the dairy herd to organic farming. Today we run organic farms on a total of 3000 hectares, and we have more than 20 years of experience in the field - so we have no doubt: In a few years, ecology will be the strongest popular movement on earth!

Respect and consideration

Sustainable agriculture, run with respect for both land, animals and nature - and with consideration for the quality of the products we produce, that's what ecology is to us. With our experience, we know that there is economics in sustainability, because all over the world there is a growing awareness of what we expose both our bodies and our surroundings to.

From the ground to the table

We want to lead the way and help set future standards when it comes to new methods in animal welfare and natural feed. We have opened our stables and farms to anyone who is interested in seeing and experiencing how modern, living, organic farming is run. We will all follow the process for ourselves – from farm to table.

ØA grant

The company has received grants for Care of grass and natural areas. The purpose of the grant is to contribute to protecting and improving biotope conditions and biodiversity in the priority areas. The subsidy has meant that the farm's grass and natural areas have been cared for with boundaries or with plains, and thus a good natural care of the areas has been ensured.

The company has received an organic land subsidy to reorganize and operate the organic land in Denmark and thereby achieve a number of benefits for the environment and biodiversity. The subsidy has meant that the farm has been able to maintain organic agricultural production on the farm's agricultural land and sell organically produced food.
